Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa for the Andamans?

+
No visa needed if you're Indian. Foreign nationals need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP), which is auto-issued on arrival at Port Blair airport, no separate application. Bring your passport.

What's the weather in November?

+
Perfect. 25โ€“30ยฐC, monsoon over, sea calm. Novemberโ€“January is peak season for diving and island-hopping. Bring light clothes, sunscreen, and a light jacket for evenings.

Is scuba diving included or extra?

+
One intro dive is included. No certification needed, instructors teach you in-water. Want more dives? โ‚น3โ€“5k each. Want to certify (PADI open-water)? โ‚น15k+, but unlocks deeper, longer dives. Glass-bottom boat or snorkeling alternatives available if you prefer to skip diving.

Can I skip scuba diving?

+
Absolutely. Glass-bottom boat (โ‚น2,500) or snorkeling (included) are great alternatives. Same beach, same marine life, no pressure. We won't force you.

How much do flights cost?

+
โ‚น8โ€“15k one-way, depending on where you fly from (Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai are cheapest). Book 45โ€“60 days in advance. Book separately from the trip, we'll help coordinate timings.

Are ferries reliable?

+
Government ferries are reliable but less flexible. They run most days, depart early (6 AM), take 2โ€“3 hours. Private catamarans (Makruzz, Green Ocean) are faster (90 mins), more comfortable, but pricier. We book both depending on weather. November has calm seas, ferries rarely cancel.

Is the food vegetarian-friendly?

+
Yes. Port Blair & Havelock have ample vegetarian restaurants (dosa, thali, paneer curries). Neil Island is quieter, fewer restaurants, but plenty of fresh veggies & rice. Seafood is the local specialty, but you won't go hungry if you're veg.

What about internet & phone network?

+
Airtel & BSNL work in main towns. Port Blair & Havelock have decent coverage. Neil Island is patchy. No WiFi on ferries, but hotels have it. Download offline maps & be prepared to disconnect a little.

Is Barren Island guaranteed?

+
No, it's weather-gated. Chartered trips happen on 30โ€“40% of days. We never force it. If conditions are bad, we'll spend the day at Kalapathar sunrise or Havelock snorkeling. No refunds if Barren doesn't happen, but we try hard.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

+
If Plans Change, We've Got You We totally get it, life happens, and sometimes your plans have to take a rain check. That's why we've kept our cancellation policy simple, transparent, and as kind as possible.

โ€ข 45+ days before the trip: 10% cancellation charge
โ€ข 30โ€“44 days before the trip: 25% cancellation charge
โ€ข 15โ€“29 days before the trip: 50% cancellation charge
โ€ข Within 14 days of the trip: 100% cancellation charge

These are calculated on the total trip amount, not just the token amount.

Now, if you can find someone to take your spot, we'll happily refund your full amount. No questions asked. Because at the end of the day, we'd rather have someone travel than hold back your money.

To keep your spot confirmed, please clear the remaining balance by the due date, it helps us lock in stays, permits, and experiences for the group. If payments are delayed beyond that, we'll have to treat it as a cancellation (same policy applies).
