What fitness level do I need?

Moderate to strong. Daily treks: 6–10 hours with elevation gain. Altitude adds challenge. Train 4–6 weeks prior: stair climbs, running, uphill hikes, gym work.

Do I need permits?

Indian citizens: No special permits (Aadhaar/ID sufficient). Foreigners: Inner Line Permit (ILP) required. OJ handles ILP for international trekkers at no extra cost.

What should I pack?

Warm layers, waterproof jacket & pants, trekking shoes, hat, gloves, sunscreen SPF 50+, water bottle (2L), first aid, headlamp, camera. OJ provides detailed packing list at confirmation.

Can I join solo?

Yes! Trek with the OJ group (8–15 people typically). Guides and fellow trekkers provide community support. Solo travel-friendly.

What is the best season?

September–October (post-monsoon). Clear skies, fresh snow on peaks, lush meadows, stable weather. Sep 19–26 dates are ideal.

What is the group size?

Typically 8–15 trekkers. Small enough for personalized care, large enough for group energy.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

If Plans Change, We've Got You We totally get it, life happens, and sometimes your plans have to take a rain check. That's why we've kept our cancellation policy simple, transparent, and as kind as possible.

• 45+ days before the trip: 10% cancellation charge
• 30–44 days before the trip: 25% cancellation charge
• 15–29 days before the trip: 50% cancellation charge
• Within 14 days of the trip: 100% cancellation charge

These are calculated on the total trip amount, not just the token amount.

Now, if you can find someone to take your spot, we'll happily refund your full amount. No questions asked. Because at the end of the day, we'd rather have someone travel than hold back your money.

To keep your spot confirmed, please clear the remaining balance by the due date, it helps us lock in stays, permits, and experiences for the group. If payments are delayed beyond that, we'll have to treat it as a cancellation (same policy applies).

Is there medical support?

Guides trained in high-altitude first aid. Helicopter evacuation available (user expense, ~2–3L INR). Travel insurance strongly recommended.

What is the weather in September?

Nights: –5°C to +10°C. Days: 0°C to +15°C. Sunny mornings, possible afternoon clouds. Alpine conditions. Rain rare. Fresh snow on peaks above 4,500m.
