What to expect on the ground

Baku is warm and breezy by the Caspian, hot in midsummer, cool and damp in winter. Spring and autumn are mild and comfortable.

Clothing for a mild, variable climate

Layers are the answer: warm days and cool evenings are common, so pack to add and remove.

Pack travel-size containers, and carry any prescription medicines in their original packaging with a doctor's note.
