The actual process, step by step
Apply online at evisa.kdmid.ru or in the official Russian MFA app. The e-visa is single entry, valid for 120 days from issue, and allows a stay of up to 30 days, counting both arrival and departure days. It cannot be extended and is processed in no more than 4 calendar days. Enter and leave Russia only through a checkpoint on the official e-visa list. On the OJ group trip the visa is included in the trip price.

Use refundable bookings until the e-visa arrives. Processing takes no more than 4 calendar days, so the wait is short.
Planning a stay longer than 30 days
The e-visa cannot be extended, and arrival and departure days both count. Fit the whole stay inside 30 days and inside the 120-day validity.
Flying in or out through an airport that is not on the e-visa list
