Do you have a cancellation policy?

If Plans Change, We've Got You We totally get it, life happens, and sometimes your plans have to take a rain check. That's why we've kept our cancellation policy simple, transparent, and as kind as possible.

β€’ 30–44 days before the trip: 25% cancellation charge
β€’ 15–29 days before the trip: 50% cancellation charge
β€’ Within 14 days of the trip: 100% cancellation charge

These are calculated on the total trip amount, not just the token amount.

Now, if you can find someone to take your spot, we'll happily refund your full amount. No questions asked. Because at the end of the day, we'd rather have someone travel than hold back your money.

To keep your spot confirmed, please clear the remaining balance by the due date, it helps us lock in stays, permits, and experiences for the group. If payments are delayed beyond that, we'll have to treat it as a cancellation (same policy applies).

What should you bring?

I'm coming solo. Is that a problem?

Absolutely not. Solo travelers are part of every batch. You'll be part of a 12–14 person group, and the experience is designed for bonding and friendships.

What are trips like with OJ?

OJ trips are about authentic experiences, not luxury tourism. Expect tight-knit groups, real connections, good food, and challenges that create lasting memories.

What permits do I need for Gaumukh?

The Gaumukh trek requires permission from the Uttarkashi Forest Department. OJ handles all permits. The trek is open year-round, but summer (May–June, Aug–Sept) is best for safety and weather.

How do I deal with altitude & AMS?

We trek slowly and acclimatize on Days 3–4 before going high. Drink plenty of water, eat well, and listen to your body. OJ guides are trained in AMS recognition. We turn back if needed,safety first.

What's the packing list?

Trekking boots, thermal layers, fleece jacket, waterproof outer layer, wool socks, hat & gloves, torch, sunscreen (SPF 50+), water bottle, medications (ibuprofen, altitude sickness tabs), blister treatment, and personal toiletries.
